Move Update: Day One & a Visit From the Mayor

At the end of last week, we let you know that we were all moved in and ready to go. That afternoon we started putting away stock, building orders, and getting things back to normal. Over the weekend, twenty folks, from all over the company, came in to help get our orders shipping again. Yesterday, we started sending those out. We want to extend a special thanks to our employees who made this move go smoother than we could have expected.

Day 1: It’s in the Books

Saturday’s push helped us set the pace for the start of the week. On Monday, our assembly and warehouse teams resumed full operations. They aren’t back to normal, though. They’re on to something new. Over the next few months, we’ll be showcasing process and handling changes we’re implementing as a result of our move. You can witness in two minutes a full day’s operation in our assembly room in the video below.

Mayor Clough Visited!

Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough, accompanied by Economic Development Manager Michelle Boczek, stopped by for a visit. In welcoming the Conveyer & Caster family to Westlake, Clough said, “We’re happy to have Conveyer & Caster join our community. I’m thrilled that a vibrant, growing business has chosen Westlake as their new home.”

The mayor toured the facilities and met with many of our team. We captured a few moments of his visit.

What’s next?

We’ll be posting more about our move in the coming weeks and months. Look for a video tour of our new facility early in the spring and updates on improvements to our operations. Thanks again for your patience as we literally repositioned our company for growth.  As always, if you need help or have a concern, contact us.
