Stainless Steel, a Life-Long Construction Solution

Stainless Structurals America can produce all types of tailored stainless shapes used in water control for the environmental industries. Those include wastewater treatment, water purification and desalination. Furthermore, our shapes are used within headworks, fish screens and flood control. Not least they can be found with environmental water treatment, irrigation, hydroelectric applications and dam projects. Stainless steel is the preferred choice because of its corrosion resistance, durability, bacteria fighting properties and it is fully recyclable. Stainless Structurals, by making profiles available in stainless steel that will last a lifetime, now gives engineers, architects and manufacturers the ability to use stainless steel for their water project designs.

Product Applications in Water Control Today

One example currently applicable in the hydro industry is our custom-made stop-log. It is used in flood control and hydro gates. The significant advantages of our stop logs include the ability to customize the size, shape or alloy. Furthermore, the sharp edges of our sections and the minimal radii of the laser fusion seams are outstanding. These properties create a higher degree of tightness of the partitions. This again creates a significant reduction in water dispersion. Produced specifically to meet customer requirements, our stop logs are in use in multiple industries in water control.

Another example is that we produce a stainless steel trapezoid shaped bar (Trap Bar), in both 304/L and 316/L. Many of the headworks manufacturers are using these for bar rakes and screens in water and wastewater treatment applications. The custom Trap Bars come in standard 20-foot lengths and can be sold by the piece or in full- bundle quantities. We are also selling many of our standard beams and channels for use in fish screens, platforms, walkways, skids, water lines, tanks, containers and much more.

From Standard Stock or Production

All of our standard shapes as well as custom shapes are available in 304/L, 316/L, and many other stainless alloys. Remember, Stainless Steel will last a lifetime and you will not have the burden of material replacement costs down the line.
